  1. hypocrisy is only important in a master. but they don't need to lie, and may be frank in explaining what they do. a 'leader' must lie, for telling the truth puts him out of business. if you expect truth from politicians, never buy a second hand car on the salesman's recommendation. complaining about lies from politicians is merely a childish device to avoid seeing the source of the problem. tolerating politicians is childish. adults run their nation as citizens, through referendum and initiative. people who are afraid to be responsible citizens pass the decision power to politicians, and then complain about the result. usa is filled with people who see the natural result of handing over the keys of the nation, to a group of people who have never demonstrated any saintly qualities, at all. nor even much competence at anything, aside from lying. that's because politician rule is shoddy always, corrupt usually, dangerous frequently. you might imagine someone would say "no clothes!" but there are no people at all who say, 'together, we can run the nation better.' so, yes, usa is hopeless. and it's your fault. democracy needs citizen quality people. oligarchy just needs cattle.
