  1. 0:29:01 re: flame throwing cannon: AFAIK Hungarian artillery (in XVI.-XVII. century) in fortress sieges occasionally put a few handfull of solid nuggets of pine resin into canister shots. Obviosuly, canons used on land (an in case of sieges) and ranges were generally smaller than in ships of the line, but the small guns on the deck while doing "decksweeping" might set the adversary afire.
