And the 1st Amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" That means no religion in the US government. You can't pass a law giving a religion any kind of foothold in anything that taxpayer money pays for. If my taxes pay for it, you don't get to stick your religion in it. Public schools are paid for by public taxes. No religion gets to post their fairytales there.
