57 -- Yelnya is 250 Km away from the nearest Ukrainian border (in a straight line). That's about the size of West Virginia for scale. So yeah, talking about fake news...
54 -- the most of Ukrainian army would probably just surrender since they are not robots and are not that blind to what victorious rebels are doing to their country (Luhansk and Donetsk governments are not rebels, they are loyalists). Airstrikes, especially massive, would just lead to unnecessary loss of life.
46 -- if these battles would really take place, Russia would have common border with Poland in a few weeks and those who started the civil war would face tribunal or flee the country, only to be used as next Litvinenkos in case of Russia being on a brink of improving relations with Europe.
07 -- like, they would start a nuclear war with Russia over control of Ukraine? Seriously now, let's cool our imagination.
24 -- that's seems being the point of it all. A whole storm in a teacup about Russia having its forces far away from Ukraine, but on its border and ready to invade for no additional reason (since genocide in Eastern Ukraine is nothing new as of now) -- and then out of the blue Biden the Saviour talks to Putin to make it all go away (not really, since Russia still won't move away from the border stuff that wasn't there, but who cares). Few political points for Biden for several lives of ukrainian people, which is nothing to him. Everyone wins, except Ukraine.
