  3. this maybe the origin of deobandi islam but the pakistani branch of deobandi movement resembles more too salafism ( as it was funded by the saudis) than the regular deobandi islam .. darul uloom deoband has issued fatwa against terrorism while darul uloom deoband haqqania has produced alma maters like: mullah omar( founder of taliban) , jalaluddin haqqani( founder of haqqani network),etc
