Comments by "" (@piotrd.4850) on "How Many Artillery Shells Does Russia Have Left?" video.
@PeterbFree It can't make reliable or advanced enough semiconductors and has pretty much lost most of Soviet Union era capacity in thermal & night vision. Same goes for machines used to make arms, displays etc.

Having artillery rounds somewhere and in theather, when and where they are needed are two things.

These shell have been used in what.... 5 types of guns of various application?
1
Kwitynk/Krasnopol laser guided rounds.

Between barrel life for nominal accuracy and technical which might damage the gun there's broad gray zone. In volume shelling you don't need account for barrel wear.

Russia in many ways has failed already - they should have mopped the floor with Ukrainians within month or so, West or no West.

@5777Whatup You are missing Soviet era Kwitnyk/Krasnopol howitzer and Granat(?) mortar LASER guided rounds.

How does slight aggreviation of Russian problem help Ukraine now?
1
That was actually the case - Russians ahve been planning for the war, but not at this time. Had they really planned and planned well, It whould have been over for three months now.

@picolascage5270 But he is not wrong. Russia has NEVER in its history fought strategic air campaign. Even in Cold War times, their airforce and AD were focused on containing Western superiority rather than winning their own. Their reasonsing was that having air & sea more less equal, they will use decisive advantage over land.

If they have British organisation abilities. Russian's greateast liability and enemy are themselves.
1
I'll put it as politely as I can - Russia also has multiple types of MLRS systems, in fact, with range and number advantage. Most of M777 are already destroyed.

@thinkerly1 You forgot one thing. That Most of NATO - Europe - has no interest in this fight and no military capability to speak of. This is basically USA + coallition of willing.
1
It is nearby.

@thinkerly1 Moskva and Snake island are irrelevant. Most of Units from Kiev were fighting in the East after moving out. Russia will achieve expensive, limited, very phyrric "victory" while Ukraine has already lost, question is - how badly.
1
I wouldn't put much faith in statemets of either side.
