@mamkam100 lies. That slave trade was in place for decades before any British colonist got involved, the slavers had also been selling slaves to the Arabs for centuries before that, that’s the slavers that were also African. Name one Royal Navy ship that was used to transport slaves to their owners? Who ended the trans Atlantic slave trade? What did it cost? When did they finally finish paying for that action?

@teeteeme5752 who made their ancestors slaves? It wasn’t a European. What of my Irish ancestors that were enslaved in America? Or my Cornish ancestors that were enslaved by North Africans? Do I have the right to claim for reparations? Or is it just black folk claiming against the British? Can they actually prove any of their ancestors were slaves? Can they name them? Can they name their owners? Provide dates? Or does very black person get reparations because they’re black? Why do the majority of British people whose ancestors had nothing to do with the slave trade have to pay? No slaves were ever owned by the British government or monarchy. All slaves were owned by colonist businesses and individuals.

@teeteeme5752 when was a black slave lynched in Britain?

@calipsogal d you not know that all of the former colonies have received a hundred times that of what was taken. Trillions of pounds since 1945. They still get billions each year. So no, Britain doesn’t owe any of them anything.

@mohammedsajjad6956 What are you talking about? 2015? Who turned the slaves into slaves and sold them? Are you really saying that only black people were slaves? Or ever have been slaves? Seriously?

@mamkam100 if you’re going to remember such things you should do it correctly. Since 1947 India has been given over 100 trillion by Britain, debt paid with a interest. The Indian economy is as strong as it is because of the British empire. Those famines were the result of actions by the local raja’s not the British.

@teeteeme5752 not Britain, business owners in the colonies, not the British government or crown. Muppet.
4
@teeteeme5752 who exactly should be paid? Why should they? Who should pay them? Why should they?
4
@Jenny-e4v sorry to tell you but all of the Caribbean islands were uninhabited when the Europeans found them. Not your islands mate until you colonised them!
4
@teeteeme5752 so what? Prove my family had a part in it. Prove my family benefited from it. What if the Africans that did actually benefit from it by selling the slaves in the first place? What you got to say about them then muppet?

@Atypical-0 prove they were stolen.
3
@teeteeme5752 really? How did the trans Atlantic slave trade end then?
3
@teeteeme5752 no, they bought the slaves, who made the slaves slaves and sold them?

@kojoa821agyemang9 stupid question. Money for nothing fool

@mamkam100 that acknowledgment was given decades ago. They just want free money and to continue the hate and victim hood mentality that is holding their communities back.

@Skygrey2943 not sure what you are responding to but those were all part of a global plan to end the slave trade which included the use of the military all at the cost of the British taxpayers for generations. In my mind, the debt is paid with interest.
