I wasn't aware of the specific benefits of algae, but the doctor I had while I was living in Japan told me I didn't need any vitamin supplements as long as I continued regularly eating green stuff from the sea - a big part of the Japanese diet. Algae is also commonly incorporated in to soba (buckwheat flour) noodles made in certain parts of Northern Japan. Delicious and super nutritious, too. Going to check out that Chlorella. TFS
