Paraguay is not a mid 5 figures - ~$50,000 - permanent residency cost. It is a mid FOUR figures. $6000+ including your attorney fees.

@WeknowhoUR Mexico is a huge country. Nobody is recommending living near border conflict areas or drug cartels that the U.S. is exasperating during the current administration. Border conflict areas and drug cartels do not represent Mexico.

@LordLauderdale Johor Bahru would probably provide for 95% of my needs. I don't place my self in a any situation where I have to commute anywhere every day. I'd more likely have an issue with the battery in my car dying from non-use. 🤣

@l.k.7940 Many parts, not "certain" parts. Many parts of Mexico are quite safe. Certain parts of Mexico are dangerous.
7
He used to do annual videos on top countries to live in for $1000/month. Those videos should still be on the channel.
7
But at least you have an olive grove now that you did yourself. You can see it from your wheel chair. 🤣
5
@Mpg972 Agreed. Anywhere people claim is boring or lame, my interest suddenly perks up! 🤣
5
@l.k.7940 "experts" Expert 666 Club Members 🤣

Vanuatu is a great escape hatch for Australians and Kiwi's. Recent history proves they certainly need it!
4
Aside from Penang and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you also live in Johor Bahru, Malaysia right across the border from Singapore. This gives you a best of two worlds.
4
So truly what is referred to as a "buyer's market".
4
With the current regime change in Brazil, I'd choose somewhere else in South America.
4
Wealthy clients don't care about utilities and gas prices.
3
In my 4 years of South American research, Brazil is not at the top of my list. And that is even before the last regime change.
3
That's history. They're in the "strong men make good times" phase.
3
The heart of a man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
3
Martijn Doorland doesn't seem to have these issues in the Italian Alps, although maybe he keeps these struggles out of his videos.
3
He's mentioned he doesn't like the direction Chile is going in politically. He was checking out Bolivia recently.
3
Mexico sounds like a tax trap for me. You trade a top bracket tax rate of 37.5% in the U.S. for 30% in Mexico. And if you remain a U.S. citizen, you still owe the IRS the 7.5% difference. Even as a resident for over 6 months in Mexico, you are now in their tax system. Sounds like a great place to visit as a tourist for LESS than 6 months.
3
You fell for the legacy branding propaganda.
3
Literally taking the advice, "Buy when there is blood in the streets" too far.
3
The high taxes, and he's said it repeatedly. It is just not wise and fudiciary advice to lead his wealthy clients to Spain and have the government suck up their wealth.
3
There's 200 counties in the world.
3
A human resources manager?? HR must mean something different.
3
How long did you live there?
2
Imagine where most counties in the world are not as lawsuit-happy as the U.S.
2
He's a citizen there too. It was once of his first overseas citizenships. He's done videos.
2
yeah! Give me that fluoride and chlorine!
2
@kevinvictor911 Out of my four years of South American research, Brazil is near the bottom.
2
@greatchalla3799 So I have to get on a plane to avoid the weather...
2
Yeah. It will involve me getting in my car and driving over the border. 🤣
2
Don't need cool and fun - usually turns into trouble and a "night" life. Give me boring and peaceful.
2
@JonathonHaull No, there are pocket areas of crime, not pocket areas of safety. There are mass swaths of safety in Mexico. If you watch the mainstream media too much, you'll be inundated with outrage and fear that will distort reality.
2
<<< This one typed in CHAT GPT. "Give me a short paragraph of sound advice about success, responsibility, accountability and investing. " 🤣
2
Naw, I'm dropping Ecuador down just two levels below Chile.
2
@billyhughes805 This video was focused on residencies, not on citizenship. Example, he mentioned getting real estate in Vanuatu, but nothing about citizenship this time.
2
@billyhughes805 Uruguay is a member of MERCOSUR which allows you to travel anywhere in South America. You get benefits of this travel with residency - no need for passport. If you get an Uruguayan passport typically you already have another one to travel under. But you can also simply apply for a Cedula de Identidad - kind of like a driver's license that gives you access to all the MERCOSUR nations.
2
@l.k.7940 Can you be more specific on all your "natural disaster" talk?
2
There's no tax avoidance in Mexico.
2
@rogerdodger8415 625 abduction cases: So in other words, like being struck by lightning. Cool, thanks. I won't stand under trees then.
2
@l.k.7940 The U.S. State Department is always raising alarmist reports for decades. The State Department is one of the many propagandist tools to keep citizens in the country out of fear, and to spread the "legacy branding" propaganda of the U.S. being better than other places. They are also covering their own ass against lawsuits by their own "sue-happy" citizens just in case something does happen and they are targeted for blame. So please don't come at people with the State Department as if that is some legitimate source of information.
2
@blaster35000 If have to finance an abandoned property for under $20K, let alone can't make a payment on THAT, then don't do it at all.
2
He does a yearly series on living on $1000/mth on this channel.
2
@sprezzatura8755 Ah Yeah, because doing things yourself especially with your own hands is so unfulfilling...
2
Move him/her once and have 5 loving doggy sitters in your base country. Don't move frequently and don't cross large bodies of water. I plan on driving if I have to: Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil. Only reason I see to move my dog is to go work on a naturalization for citizenship.
2
@freedomfirst3779 Yeah... let's talk Venezuela baby! 🤣
2
STOP by more Thai property. You're only building her wealth up and it could be her that gives you the boot soon.
2
Deflation occurs naturally in any country's currency who's government does not abuse the currency by purposely expanding the money supply. Any country can deflate their currency at any time by stopping printing it - physically or electronically - and stop pegging their currency to an inflationary monster like the U.S.
2
He has a long history and dozens of videos covering the Balkans on this channel.
2
@NomadicRVLiving Meh, we have enough deception on the internet without having to contribute more to it.
