And W8-BEN (Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding and Reporting) is not for U.S. citizens, and only for interest, dividend and royalties. You are not exempt from income taxes, and claiming you don't pay taxes is promoting tax evasion.

  6. Basically up to 25% personal income tax and 25% business tax, so not a low tax place.

  7. Bad taxes there: up to 35% personal income tax, non-territorial so your worldwide income gets hit too. Capital Gains is also considered personal income. 25% business tax. They're installing a wealth tax for wealthier people on their worldwide assets. 5% to 35% inheritance taxes. There's an 5% Exit Tax if your try to transfer money out of Ecuador. On top of the that charge 12% national sales tax on everything (VAT). It's bad. Definitely not a qualifier for this video.
