  1. I personally find it refreshing. I think people are so reserved and scared to show emotions that when someone lets them go it’s beautiful. Part of the reason so many horrible things are allowed to exist is because people are too afraid to speak up. I want to see him screaming, throwing things and insulting people with slurs and vitriol.

  2. At the heart of it is the fact that the purpose of science and religion are completely different. Science can tell us about the world we live in but it can not tell us how to act and in which way to direct our lives and attention. Everyone has beliefs and underlying values that they didn’t arrive at by logic, reason or science.

Do you find it more likely that the thousands of people in the comments talking about how profound this conversation was have been duped, or that maybe the very few people saying it’s senseless don’t fully grasp what he is trying to say? It’s possible that you are more intelligent than the exceedingly vast majority of Lexs audience but to me it seems very unlikely to be the case.

  17. It took me awhile to be able to follow JP closely as he jumps around a lot but it really does get easier. I’m replying mainly because your humble response was really refreshing compared to so many in the comments with seemingly a similar issue. Instead of the introspection you have they are claiming that he is speaking gibberish or nonsense. Your humbleness is commendable.

  41.  @dempsey2023  there is also plenty of research in the field of math and statistics that will help you understand that the research you are talking about is sketchy at best because there are simply far too many variables to control for the information to be really useful. Even if you found a great diet from a small indigenous population on the other side of the world, your attempt to replicate it is pointless because your food likely isn’t going to be even close to the same quality. I guarantee an Okinawa sweet potato or whatever they eat is vastly superior to the whole foods version.
