  1. poor guys :( And yes.... the human error is having a submarine that is 40 years old on service... Submarines are like airplanes, after a certain amount of diving, the metal expands and contracts with pressure and that causes metal distress... In other words, the metal lifespan in high pressure is not eternal as people think it is because it is "metal"... Airplanes are the same!! after a certain amount of hours of flight (18 - 30 years), the metal lifespan is very much in the end and need to retire.
