Problem with current Indian army is it was created by the British to subjugate Indians. We have continued with a colonial army as those who were in bed with the British took over India after 1947. We also cannot have a 150,000 crores pension bill when our defense budget is around 300,000 crores. Our army has to be restructured and emphasize has to be laid on compulsory 1 to 2 years military service for citizens of states bordering hostile neighbors. States and not the centre need to fund their regiment. This way we can immediately raise the size of our military in times of crisis without a huge fixed overhead expenditure.

What should be bothering us more is 70 billion dollars trade deficit with China when China has occupied fresh Indian territory. Most probably Jio Airtel etc will also use Chinese companies to launch 5G in India. Vast majority of the population uses Chinese phones.

@lwglwglwg that technology and manufacturing, is western technology and manufacturing which can easily be transferred to India. When Vietnam and Bangladesh are able to draw away investments from China, then, why can't India??

@lwglwglwg if the west imposes sanctions on China, then, all that will come crashing down like a house of cards. China till 1990s was the largest recipient of UN food aid. The countries who are behind China's success are also its biggest enemy. One cannot sleep with the enemy forever.

@lwglwglwg Modi's rise has been funded by China. Which is why Chinese investments rose by 5 times within 3 years of Modi becoming PM. Modi only sanctioned TikTok and not real Chinese firms.

@lwglwglwg How long something that relies on lies last?? Sooner or later people get to know the truth and demolish the existing order. What happened with USSR which was completely insulated from West is also going to happen with China particularly when people have tasted capitalism.

@lwglwglwg West and India are not dependent on China for their economic survival. But China depends on West and allies of West like India Japan Korea Australia for its economic survival. Clash between China and West which includes India Japan etc is only a matter of time. This process will pick up after the war in Ukraine is over in next couple of months.
