  1. Criminalization of politics started with use of goons to capture booths and to fund political parties. Once these criminals became politicians, they got lucrative government contracts. This is how corruption has been institutionalized and very much a part of government. To clean up this mess, we need very serious reforms and transparency in funding of political parties.
