The natives of North East were Bengalis. This king didn't adopt Bengali because he loved Bengali culture but because the natives of Tripura, Kamrupa aka Assam, Manipur were Bengalis What you have said is a lie propagated by the government to hide the Chinese and Burmese origin of these rulers and mongoloid people of the north east who have never considered themselves as Indians. This ruler you are talking about is of Sino Burmese origin and not Indian. You need to do more research and not perpetuate lies and myths cooked up to pass off people of foreign origin as sons of the soil. This is a grave injustice to the real sons of the soil. Hiding the history of north east is the root cause why north east is never at peace.

@TMusiciansHUB564 Mongoloid people are not Kirats but Sino Burmese people who entered India from 1200CE after Tai Chinese invasion of Bengali Kamrupa. Bodo, Koch, Dimasa, Tripuri (not their real name), Garo, Rabha etc are Sino Burmese with Sinic blood and culture many who adopted Bengali language, culture and customs when they settled in NE just like they did across South East Asia which too were Indic and Hindu prior to 1000 CE.

@user-db-swapan2000 you are even afraid to correctly spell mongoloid. Mongoloid people are not natives of South and South East Asia. They all hail from China. If you check DNA they will all have the same DNA as people of southern China.

@TMusiciansHUB564 Mahabharata mentions Nepalis and these tribes from China and Burma are collectively known as Kirats and this land is Kirat Desh and not Nepal, China or Burma?? Shiva is lord of people of Nepali, Chinese, Burmese and perhaps Tibetan origin?

@j.r1105 How Tripura ended up with large Sino Burmese population?? This is mentioned in Rajmala?? Rajmala sounds Sino Burmese to you?? Fact is, NE used to be collection of Bengali kingdoms which were invaded and occupied first by Tai Chinese followed by the Burmese. This is the reason many people in Tripura and NE have surnames like Burman, Barman, Debbarma etc which mean someone from Burma.

@j.r1105 South East Asia like North East India was Hindu and Indic prior to large scale exodus of Chinese to these parts following Mongol invasion of China in circa 1000 CE. Burmese are also Bamar Chinese and not the natives of what we call Myanmar. Everything ancient in NE, is Bengali and not Sino Burmese. Names like Rajmala, Tripura, Manipur, Kamrupa are Indic and Bengali not Sino Burmese. Yes large number of Bengalis did move to NE as refugees in 1947. But, NE is ancestral lands of Bengalis and people of Chinese and Burmese origin are immigrants on this land. From 1200CE to 1832CE North East was under Chinese and Burmese occupation before East India Company liberated these lands from Burma and returned to India but with majority Chinese and Burmese origin people who to this day have not accepted themselves as Indians which is the crux of never ending insurgencies and racial conflicts between Indic and Sino Burmese people. PS: I was responding to someone's latest comment when I observed your old comment which needed a retort.
