Today's India as a nation didn't exist prior to arrival of East India Company. East India Company occupied little more than 50% of today's India to create British India. Rest were 565 princely states which were independent but under the suzerainty of the British crown. So, it is incorrect to say that a Punjabi/Sikh occupation of central Asia or Kashmiri occupation of central Asia was an Indian invasion. South East Asia were Hindu and Indic prior to Chinese invasion of South East Asia starting from 1000 AD which resulted from Mongol invasion of China. There's no evidence of any Tamil invasion of South East Asia. The Hindu archeological, historical, and cultural evidence of South East Asia are predominantly north Indian. It's highly unlikely a Tamil king will name their kingdom Ayudhaya, Kamboj, Srivijaya which are the earliest names of Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia Indonesia.

@Saanjani Baar if Tamils ruled anywhere in South East Asia, where's the evidence??? Your claim, has to be backed by scientific and historical facts. The culture, customs etc which includes the names of these places are all connected to the Indo Gangetic belt not South India which has a very different culture from the north particularly the Gangetic belt. South East Asia just like North East India having predominantly mongoloid population has all got to do with Chinese invasion. The mongoloid people of South East Asia and North East India are Dai Chinese from Yunnan. Ahoms and Meitei of India and Thai are Dai Chinese. 600 years of Chinese and Burmese occupation of north east is simply missing in our history books as the government in New Delhi doesn't wants to disturb the peace. Right from Afghanistan to Vietnam, there was an Indic civilization consisting of several kingdoms. South India only came in contact with the north with the Mughal occupation of the subcontinent. Prior to that there was very little contact between north and south let alone South East Asia. Today's Bengal region did have close ties with South East Asia before the Dai Chinese invasion starting from 1000 AD.

@raghuls1515 that's utter nonsense. The culture, language, food of South East Asia is Sanskritized and has influence of the Indo Gangetic belt not Tamil which is very different. The Hindu civilization of South East Asia was replaced by waves of migrants from southern China. During the British occupation of South East Asia, large number of Tamils were taken there as workers, administrators for the British run plantations. Seeing the earliest historical artifacts as Hindu they thought that these places were invaded by Tamil kings. If Cholas invaded as far as South East Asia then entire South India, central India, west India and the Indo Gangetic belt would have Tamil influence. We don't see anything of that sort. Queen of Vietnam and Korea were Tamils??? 😆 you are living in fantasy. Give me evidence of Chola conquest of South East Asia.
