  1. If you look at historical evidences, there was never any country called India or Bharat. The idea of nation states is a post world war 2 phenomenon. Prior to that much of the world used to be ruled by kings and queens. India, is basically a Greek name of the region around Indus aka Sindhu river which is known as Pakistan today. There are no historical evidence of a nation called Bharat ever existing. It's a mythical country like India. Today's India got its name from East India Company which itself was named after a mythical country called India.
