Khalistan is going to come back in a big way. Modi has succeeded in what Pakistan and China couldn't do in more than 70 years. He has opened the faultlines in India which were somewhat hidden since 1947.

@ksc7132 India was partitioned on the basis of religion. Let us not pretend to be oblivious to this fact. Where is the place for other religions? We brushed that under the carpet by declaring India a secular country. Is it really secular or we have been living under a charade which Modi has exposed unwittingly?

@ksc7132 I don't know what you are talking about. Please elaborate what you consider a lie . Ask yourself who started mixing religion with politics and why?? Pakistan, was a bargaining chip and not a demand for a separate country. The people of today's Pakistan, never wanted Pakistan. Pakistan was basically the demand of Muslims of today's India. Muslim League or Congress, both creations of the British, could rarely gain any votes in United Punjab or Bengal prior to 1947.

@PS-te7qc after 1947, India is a defacto Hindu Hindi Hindustan rashtra. Anyone who doesn't ticks all the 3 boxes is a children of a lesser God. What's happening in Maharashtra today is related to this phenomenon.

@ksc7132 then why Muslim League couldn't win in Punjab the most crucial state in today's Pakistan?? Why resolution for formation of Pakistan was forwarded by Praja Krishak party of Bengal and not Muslim League? Who is a Hindu when the very word is a Persian name for people living around Sindhu river whom we call Pakistanis today?? There was never any demand for Hindu rashtra after 2014 as after 1947 India is a defacto Hindu rashtra. Khalistan goes back before 1947 when Master Tara Singh wanted a separate nation for the Sikhs just like B.R.Ambedkar wanted separate land for dalits. History, is far more complicated and not so black and white as you think.

@ksc7132 Rest 80% predominantly are Nepalis who purely fight for money and an average Nepali hates Indians. Rajput kings of Rajputana played a very big role in victory of Mughals, East India Company and British over Indian kings. The state of J&K itself has 4 or more regiments, a state that is hostile to India. Assam and Naga regiments don't share your enthusiasm. I can go on and on about an army created by the British to help them subjugate and loot India. Few Sikh soldiers did mutiny after Blue Star, but these were foot soldiers from villages who cannot lead. So, their mutiny collapsed. Similarly many from villages took up arms against India with little training from Pakistan and the movement petered out. India is a nation of 1.3 billion with a 1.2 million army and another 1.3 paramilitary force. You cannot hold together a country by force if the masses get disenchanted. Pakistan learnt it the hardway in 71. USSR without bloodshed in 1990. What can I do if you are a knucklehead and cannot look at things from different perspective??

@martianmartian4037 if Modi does Hindutva then what's stopping the Sikhs from doing Khalistan?? India, as per constitution of India, is a union of states and not a nation state. We are a union of diverse people which is why we say oxymoronic "unity in diversity". Diversity, doesn't leads to unity but strife. If one group of people become jingoistic then others too will reply in kind particularly when there's all around abject poverty, unemployment, spiraling prices and dejection. Farmers' protest was only a mild precursor to things to come.

@ksc7132 if Hindu rashtra wasn't there then why Sikhs demanded khalistan?? If you do Hindutva in a subcontinent like India, you think the rest will keep quiet?

@martianmartian4037 South India, is another khalistan in the making. Already CM of states have expressed openly secession of South from India. Your comment also reflects this sentiment.

@ksc7132 This military, was created by the British to keep British India united for them not for you.LOL! It is because of this reason 20% of the troops are Sikhs. If they pick up the gun against India, which military will stop them?? And what good are military consisting of foot soldiers when you have weapons of mass destruction which can be rigged by anyone with knowledge, resources and time??
1
@ksc7132 Nepalis were used in Jallianwala Bagh and to fight Indian freedom fighters. What you have mentioned about the Sikhs is what I pointed in my comment. These soldiers were basically men who follow orders and not those who lead. Without officers leading them, the mutiny was bound to collapse. Who is a Hindu?? Hindu is a Persian name for people living around Sindhu river whom we call Pakistanis today. In Bangladesh, India only entered in last 13 days of a 9 months Civil War where more than 3 million Bengalis had sacrificed their life. It took combined might of China, India, Pakistan and Srilanka to defeat the LTTE. If the masses get disenchanted then possibility of USSR type breakup or violent and bloody Yugoslavia type breakup is very possible particularly in a large diverse subcontinent like India.
