1971 was a 9 months civil war where India intervened only in the last 13 days. 1971 victory wouldn't be this easy if East Pakistan wasn't fighting an extremely bloody civil war which led to the death of 3 million Bengalis.

@himanshujha807 That killing of unarmed civilians and unprovoked attack on East Pakistan Regiment and paramilitary forces by West Pakistan army led to the civil war followed by independence of Bangladesh. Massacre is one sided. If it was a massacre like what happened to the jews there wouldn't be any Bangladesh. The soil of Bengal is a land of rebels who don't like foreign occupation which is why maximum resistance to British occupation of India came from Bengal.

@Pravin Swami India won a true victory in 1971. But, for some reason all files related to 1971 were destroyed by the Indian army. Request you to throw some light on this matter.
