The fact that all news channels are doing Modi bhakti is the best proof that India the largest democracy in the world has become a closed society. Instead of questioning GS, why media is spectacularly silent about India ranking so low in press freedom index? GS has only said that India is becoming a closed society where people work for the government from an open society where government works for the people. Attack on national and international press, India the world's largest democracy falling in flawed democracy category, lowest in press freedom index are only indicators of what GS has said. It is not GS or Hindenburg report which first raised the question of Adani's dubious financial practices but ex RBI governor Raghuram Rajan who first flagged these irregularities for which he was sacked by Modi.

@Amithab V WB only has less than 3% of India's landmass but accounts for 7% of India's GDP making it the 6th largest economy while being only 14th in size. As far as Raghuram Rajan flagging Adani's over invoicing goes, it was all over the news.

@हार्दिक पोपली look at the ordinary people in the streets of Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata let alone smaller cities to know the reality of widespread hunger and malnutrition in India. Vast majority of Indians are indeed stunted and malnourished. You don't need a foreigner to tell that but merely look outside the car/bus/metro/taxi etc window to know this fact. Why corporate India is so desperate to muffle these facts from being covered by our media that they have bought all news and media channels?
