People of India will not choose CM of the worst state as PM of India. Modi had to prove himself in Gujarat before he became acceptable as PM to the population of India. KCR, Mamata, Kejriwal, Akhilesh have better chances of being PM than Nitish who cannot become even CM of Bihar on his own.

@D.K.Singh 14:25 India is facing biggest crisis since East India Company where the government is beholden to one or two business houses and not to the nation. Opposition has to come together if India has to remain a democracy. Already India falls in the "flawed democracy" in democracy index and is considered an elected autocracy like nations with failed democracies. If this continues you may see balkanization of the union of India.

@ankur singh British also thought no one can secede from the British empire. Today's India is a union of British India with 565 independent kingdoms of South Asia brought together by force often at the point of a gun. 1.2 million soldiers, a large number of whom are foreign mercenary troops, cannot cow down 1.4 billion people. Pakistan thought similarly, leading to the birth of Bangladesh.
