  1. He has spoken the truth. Bengali movies are today little better than Bhojpuri movies. With economic decline, Bengal has also declined culturally. Culture can only exist in land of plenty not in the land of want.

South Indian film industry can compete and in some matters excel far better than Bollywood. This couldn't have happened without political, social, economic development of the south. The regression of Bengal in every sphere is reflected in our culture and movies.
