  1. Central institutions like CBI, ED, RBI, election commission, etc. were always weak. Modi has only shown the rot that always existed. 1947 was not independence but transfer of power. India needs major reforms where power needs to rest with the states and not the central government beholden to one political party representing only certain ethnic, religious, linguistic groups belonging to a part of India and not the entire subcontinent of India.
