  1. India is a union of states and not a nation state. India was never supposed to be governed centrally. This is what 1946 cabinet mission plan was which was vehemently opposed by business houses profiteering under centralized British rule. Withdrawal of consent to 1946 cabinet mission plan of strong states led to the partition of India and not Hindu Muslim divide. The only way both India and Pakistan can effectively be governed if power rests with the states. Centralized rule will eventually lead to break up of both India and Pakistan, countries which never existed prior to arrival of East India Company and the British.
