Yet, our diplomatic and intelligence services were sleeping on the job. What happened in Bangladesh, didn't happen suddenly. This is the result of 5th generation warfare in which enemy nations turn the population against their own country. This takes years and decades to fructify. Why Bangladesh allowed outfits connected to Pakistan to operate in Bangladesh is the most surprising part. There's a large part of the population who didn't want Bangladesh and supported Pakistan. After 1971, these forces slowly started gaining strength and today they are so powerful that they made the PM flee from the country and brought the military with which it fought against in 1971 to its knees. This is far more dangerous than Taliban takeover in 15th August 2021.
