@Harsh Agrawal the Bengali bhadralok aka middle and upper middle class tend to be leftist or pro Congress. Modi Shah's version of BJP is an anathema to the Bengali bhadralok but same ideology appeals to the large Hindi speaking population who number around 20 million in West Bengal. BJP will find support among Hindi, Adivasis and Nepalis and few upper caste Bengalis. But 100% Muslims which includes large Urdu speaking Muslims and Bengalis will vote for TMC. Yes TMC like CPIM has done a terrible job in attracting foreign investments in Bengal. But, BJP by refusing to promote strong popular Bengali BJP leaders in Bengal is banking on PM Modi who cannot speak even a word of Bengali and therefore cannot connect with the masses. Same story in Assam if BJP failed to poach Himanta Biswa Sarma. Without Himanta Biswa Sarma, there will be no BJP in NE.

@DKS BJP would have lost 2019 election if it was held with paper ballots instead of EVMs. If elections continue to be held with EVMs, then not only BJP will never be defeated, but India will move from an elected autocracy to full fledged dictatorship as Adani Ambani to survive let alone grow needs complete control over the government in New Delhi. India i.e. Bharat is a union of states and not a nation state. So, one party one ruler is an aberration in a subcontinent like India. India is built up of different diverse regions and different people which one political party cannot represent. Therefore, in the future it is going to be coalition of regional parties vs centrist parties like BJP and Congress. This is why majority of the regional political parties are not able to get along either with Congress or BJP. In this new India Congress is staring at oblivion and BJP is treading the same path. BJP like Congress is a purely personality driven one man show who will cross 75 years in 2024. How long can they keep up with this charade?

@Mihir Chitnis lol! It is BJP which went to Supreme Court against use of EVMs in India's elections. Supreme Court's judgment was "EVMs are not free, fair and transparent." After coming to power, BJP is doing everything to conduct elections with EVMs. You need to ask why BJP's Dr.Subramanian Swamy, GVLN Rao, Yashwant Sinha filed a case in Supreme Court against use of EVMs in India's elections?? GVLN Rao has written a book on how EVMs are used to manipulate India's elections.

Modi Shah's BJP has no connect with Bengal and Bengalis as it is afraid of strong Bengali leaders. That's why it is supporting weak nobodies instead of strong local leaders. By stealing opposition party members with money and threats how far can BJP go particularly in a state with more than 30% Muslim population? BJP is trying everything to split the dalit, Muslim and OBC votebank which is why Mayawati, Chandrashekhar Azad are completely missing in action.

@Rishav Kumar true, BJP has support among the large non Bengali population in Bengal. That's why TMC brands BJP as a party of "outsiders". Mamata will play the regional card and Bengali pride to retain her hold in Bengal. CPIM and Congress are both dead in Bengal's politics not withstanding few flashes in the pan.

@Mihir Chitnis if BJP is winning fair and square, then why BJP is not replacing EVMs with paper ballots which is what it demanded prior to 2014 election?

@Saikumar Reddy Madadi My friend, how can data from a "not free, fair and transparent system" be a valid input to another device?? And only a fraction of VVPAT data is tallied with EVM data. More than 70% of the VVPAT data wasn't tallying with EVM data. Election commission itself lied by stating a figure below 50% of the EVMs it had acquired. When election commission not only lies but also rigs elections with tampered EVMs its a sign that democracy is dead as the international media is now saying as national media has been compromised. And VVPAT or EVM error is always favorable to BJP and not other political party. Which shows that the software in these machines have been tampered with.

@PRINCE NAVNEET in a nation of 1.4 billion people, you think there's shortage of people to count votes?? How people used to count votes before EVMs were introduced??
1
@Saikumar Reddy Madadi election commission officials don't count votes. They are assisted by several people who are enrolled by the government in the election process. Election commission will need more than a million staff if it has to do everything itself.

@vaimurthy funny guy still not aware that BJP when it was in the opposition was dead against EVM just like today almost all opposition parties are expressing their distrust for EVMs.
1
@vaimurthy if elections are conducted through fraud, what's the point in conducting elections??
1
@vaimurthy do you want to be a couch potato or a fitness freak??
1
@Sandilyan how can evm prove its integrity when out of the limited number of VVPAT machines which were tallied with EVM, more than 70% data weren't matching? Why are you so afraid of return to hack proof paper ballots?? This proves BJP is winning through fraudulent means.
