  3.  @tinfoilhat4837  that's where you're wrong. Rail prices go up by inflation every year. It's mandated by the government. So the rail operating companies will be getting 10% more revenue regardless of what they pay the rail workers. The only difference is how much profit the rail companies make at the workers expense. Last year these companies made £500 million in profit which went to overseas rail companies and rich shareholders. Why should workers accept a pay cut to make the rail companies even richer? If you want better pay from your bosses, then join a union. It's the most effective way of getting a better deal. If you want workers to continue to lose out to greedy shareholders, then keep attacking unions...

  4. We aren't. The 1970s weren't preceded by 40 years of neoliberal capitalism and union busting that have exploded inequality and stripped workers of their democratic rights.
