That's not uncommon but on average, the private sector is getting pay rises than the public sector. The problem is that the average can be distorted by some highly paid jobs in London going up really fast even while pay for jobs elsewhere stagnates.

8:30 you can have all the growth you like. If you don't distribute wealth and income fairly, must people will suffer. The economy has grown but with growing inequality. Nearly all the benefits of growth have gone to the rich, indeed the top 1% have taken £600 billion of new wealth in the last 2 years. Tragic that Labour are so right wing that they cannot even say the word redistribution.

29:49 you pay tax on dividend income at a significantly lower level than people earning money through the labour. Like every Tory government, this bunch will always protect capitalists and put the burden on workers. And btw I also own and run a business. My taxes on my dividend income and my cap gains should match the tax rate I pay on my work.
