There's a difference between people who go to church and think they're saved because of it, and people who follow the teachings of Jesus and believe that he died to pay for their sins (real Christians). The first group thinks that they're better than everyone else, while the second group understands that their spiritual well being is an enormous gift that they did nothing to deserve.
