  1. A lot of it is men's fault, too. Even in the 70s, I heard men say that they didn't want their wives, the mothers of their children, staying home taking care of the family. They considered it lazy, not having themselves cleaned house or cared for toddlers, ever. Now that attitude is practically universal. It created slaves of women, meaning that they are expected to work 40+ hour/week jobs, then come home to make dinner, clean the house, help kids with bedtime or homework, then get up an hour earlier than everyone else to make breakfast and fix the kids' lunches. While hubby watches tv or snoozes from the time he gets off work until the next morning. Why not? He has a slave! That's why one of the biggest groups of meth addicts consists of young mothers; it's the only way to get the energy to keep up that schedule.
