ryan weatherford There is precious little European DNA in most Mexicans. It's the upper class who are the purest descendants of Europeans and take great pride in the fact that they don't have indigenous Mexican DNA. They have light skin, are often blond or have light brown hair, and it's a huge embarrassment to them to have skin with even slightly more melanin than they think they should. I knew an upper class, blue-eyed, brown-haired Mexican girl who developed a slightly darker skintone while pregnant and she was horrified.

@Amehdion Mexicans aren't homogeneous in their appearance because there are dozens of distinct indigenous tribes that still exist within the DNA of Mexicans. There are also areas of Mexico that have had large numbers of Chinese or African immigrants.
