@spiritofthewolf1880 Watch Patrick Lancaster. It isn't Putin who is irredeemable.

I agree 100%. If people would just check out what's going on there on the ground, from the people themselves living there, the west would get a really big shock about who is telling the truth in this. Unfortunately, most people would rather not have their delusions challenged, even if it means nuclear war.

Since Ukraine has been shelling the hell out of Donbass for eight solid years, the Ukrainians don't have any right to point fingers. Neither do you, if you support Ukraine, ffs.

@andrewrichison813 You're way behind the times. Russia is a net exporter of food, oil, steel, and other goods. They are also highly industrialized. The 1980s are long gone. Most Russians today live like most Americans. Probably better, since even before the pandemic, 50% of American households lived wholly or partially off of government benefits like welfare and disability. The only reason that we can even pretend to be a first world country is that our government is up to our eyeballs in increasing debt, money borrowed from our great-grandchildren.

@andrewrichison813 And don't let the GDP numbers fool you. The nationwide average cost of living in Russia is about 1/3 ours, like their wages. According to nationmaster, Russia has a gdp of $14,832.60 per capita. The United States has a gdp of $45,759.46 per capita. When you account for the difference in cost of living and wages, we're pretty much even.

It depends on what the captain thought. If he thought that the ship might founder and ordered the crew off, they would get off. As it turned out, the ship DID sink, didn't it?

Putin brought Russia up from a country where people had to stand in line for hours just to buy a package of green meat to a country that's a net exporter of food, oil, steel, and many other products. They are almost entirely self-sufficient. Their supermarkets are overflowing with excellent food, they have shopping centers, even in Siberia, that rival those in suburban America. They drive modern cars, wear modern clothes, have modern jobs. Putin did this. If you think that Putin is stupid, you had better worry about your own IQ. I don't want to get into a war just because you vastly underestimate the president of Russia.
