@deejames1st Can you imagine having seamstresses flown from Dior for your wedding dress, and you scream at them and keep changing your mind practically right up to the minute? It shouldn't have been any surprise that so many of her expensive outfits fit badly.

I've heard that; I don't know if it's true that she claimed to be pregnant, but it would explain the rush to the alter. Wasn't it Eugenie who had to postpone her wedding so that M could go first? And years later she used that same excuse to avoid showing up to court in the UK, so it seems probable.

There's a theory that she claimed to be pregnant and that's why they rushed the wedding. They postponed Eugenie's wedding for M. That's a pretty serious thing to do without a pressing reason.
