@gtengineer1967 The airlift offer was at the end of February. By March, he was perfectly willing, and was on the point of, signing a peace treaty with Putin. Then Boris Johnson personally interfered and stopped it. Nobody knows what was said, but Zelensky has refused to negotiate ever since. It must have been a very good promise or a very bad threat.

@gtengineer1967 The US government offered unconditional backing for a war with Putin in December of 2016. That's when Lindsay Graham and John McCain went to Ukraine and promised to "back you [Ukraine] with everything we've got" if they provoked a war with Russia. I saw the recording of the meeting. This has been in the planning on the part of the US government for a very long time, not that it shows.

@dominicvioli7098 Russia isn't to blame even a little bit. Is Russia to blame that the government of Ukraine has been shelling Donbass for the past eight years, contrary to their promises for decades to the government of Russia? Is it Russia's fault that the Pentagon and NATO funded more than two dozen bioweapons labs in Ukraine, and lied about it until very recently? If you think that the Pentagon funds bioweapons labs for the benefit of humanity, then you don't understand their mission.
