Without the US, the EU would deteriorate back to the pre-industrial age, and might in any case. They only rose to first world status due to cheap energy and the US paying for NATO. They no longer have cheap energy and Trump may very well withdraw from NATO, or at least cut way back on its funding. The EU's industrial base is destroyed and people can barely afford to heat their homes and eat. Do you see where this is going?

  7. Too many Europeans hate Russia with a passion. That isn't hyperbole, just a plain fact. You should hear my French sister-in-law on the subject. She gets positively hysterical. I'm afraid if the EU tries to cozy up to Russia that a lot of people would set themselves on fire, again.

  8. Europeans for the most part hate the Russians passionately. They might agree to partner with Russia for survival, but Russia should never trust them again. Like with the Minsk Accords, Europeans will stab Russia in the back as soon as they get the chance.

Dude, look at the size of those areas! There's no way. We couldn't even successfully occupy Iraq or Afghanistan, much less two land masses the size of subcontinents. So get a grip. Live in the real world.

And think about how huge Greenland and Canada are; how do you think we could possibly occupy either country? Not in a million years. Trump knows that. He's trolling.   14. Putin was using reverse psychology. Biden and Harris were pushing us into a direct war with Russia, but he knows from experience that Trump is anti-war. By saying that he prefers the Democrats, he knew that the anti-Putin crowd would more likely vote for Trump. He knew the anti-war crowd were already voting for Trump. It was a win-win situation for Russia.

  15. I see that as self-defeating, since the idea was to keep a neutral expanse between Russia and NATO countries. By taking all of Ukraine, Russia would be smack up against NATO, which isn't what they wanted at all.

We gave almost everything to Ukraine. We could barely invade a small family farm, much less a country the size of our own. Think of the logistics!

  23. Trump hasn't received pushback for his comments regarding Canada and Greenland because we know it's just silly. It isn't like buying an uninhabited island; these countries have governments of their own, and we aren't about to invade military, are we? That was a rhetorical question, because the idea is absurd.
