  1. I agree with you on all counts. I'm sure that this is exactly why others at the Kremlin think that Putin is too soft. Although, it could be that Putin didn't move before was to make sure that Russia was well fortified against western sanctions and other punishments.

  5. Jesus, the Ukraine forces have been shelling Donbas for eight freaking years, dude. There are news clips on YouTube going back at least 7 years from French media. Humanitarian groups and the UN have complained about it to no avail.

  9. That's odd, since the Russian economy continued to expand in March. It hasn't retracted. The most pessimistic claims (except for Kissinger, who kisses the asses of his backers) is that the Russian economy will increase 3.5% this year instead of 5%, but they aren't counting Russia's greatly increased profits from oil, nor their expanding Russian-centered business base, taking up the slack from foreign businesses who left.

  10. That's why I have no sympathy for the Ukrainians outside of Donbas. They were totally fine with the government shelling Donbas civilians for the last eight years; what kind of monsters do that? As far as I'm concerned, I hope they get what they've been giving and more.
