  1.  @tommatokovic1018  Listen to the video. The Ukrainian forces weren't fighting against regular Russian military, but pro-Russian Ukrainian seperatists. The Russian military did not send reinforcements. I presume that if the Russian military itself didn't fight for the area, then it isn't important to their plans at the moment.
