  2. Today, the ruble is worth 98 cents. Yesterday it was worth 97 cents. A year ago, it was worth 57 cents. The ruble's value has been steadily rising for the last year. The ruble is backed by gold. If we had palpitations every time the dollar fluctuated, we'd be having fits constantly.
