  1. You know that there are tourists other than western who go to Russia, right? Besides which, Russia doesn't depend on tourism. In 2017, tourism represented only 3.8% of their gdp. Say that half of that was westerners, that's less than 2%. I don't know if it's occurred to you, either, but it could be that a lot of Russians no longer want to do a lot of shopping at foreign retailers. It's more patriotic to patronize Russian retailers.

  2. I just found a video that was shot in the Vegas mall last August, and it was no busier. Really, not at all. So I doubt that sanctions had anything to do with it.
