Can't really argue with the fact that you can follow your personal religion but cannot convert others. Is this not what democracy is really about? If you can choose to live as you like, similarly you can follow your own private religious belief without coercion. Conversion is a big business today, especially with Islam & Christianity. BTW please review what Islam has been doing all along- its exactly what you argue about communism- 'mix political with the personal'. When that is the case how can you argue that China should give religious freedom to Uighurs, as WION has been doing in other debates? Which political party will deliberately encourage a belief system entirely opposed to their own?
