Might you then conclude the same for anybody—straight or gay, male or female—whose partner doesn't fit the norm? I've known many a straight couple where the male physical and/or emotional profile was much more feminine than average. Does that mean that their wives/girlfriends were subconsciously lesbians?  I think that there's probably not a simple answer, and while hypothesizing is fine, I would not draw any conclusions without further research.

Humans are animals, too (see above regarding classification), whether you like it or not.  Homosexuality in humans is normal in the sense that it is consistently chosen for in natural selection (that's evolution, and there are various hypotheses as to why, but that's somewhat off-topic). Remember, though, before you consider yourself normal, that normal does not necessarily equate to good.
