"It's a put putting white people and men down." Nope. But interesting that you read it that way. Says much more about you.

TED's been doing entertainment for a long time now. And TED is free. Complaining seems silly. Just don't watch.

Everybody has a right to represent their culture through art, whether that embodies their gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexuality, or something else.. So many people do care. If it were nationalist German art song, I'm sure you'd say nothing.

"I didn't argue that they didn't have the "right" to do this performance." Okay. But you asserted that "nobody else cares." Why might you make such assumptions? Rallying the invisible troops? Why would believe they need to "get over themselves?" "I'm criticizing the content of the piece." No, you're criticizing the actual subject. If you wanted to criticize the content, you'd have to critique it as an art critic. That would mean digging much deeper. "What are talking about with the "German art song"? I know you're making an assumption about my beliefs, but I don't understand what you think I believe." Incorrect. The video set you off, but we can't know why. That's your own dark little secret. Maybe you don't even know. Were it a different artistic performance expressing cultural pride and strength of a different population, my guess is that you'd be silent. Why do you insist they're "obsessed with their gender and skin tone" because their art is about their identity? Why do you think they'd make art about their identity to begin with? Look at your reflection.

Thumps down? Okay wascally wabbit. On another note, what is "trying too hard?" How can you be sure that it's who hasn't tried hard enough?
