  1.  Charles Huang  It's a region in China because the CCP invaded in 1950. The Tibetans did not agree or vote on whether they want to be a part of China. It was a separate kingdom for 100+ years, and only one Chinese dynasty had a small piece of land there that no Han lived on. China has no ancient claim to Tibet, only modern claim
