@logic7374 ?? They're paying a drop in the bucket out of their incomes. We're paying massive amounts compared to ours. What's a million dollars to a billionaire? That logic is honestly saddening. But what else could I expect from a Shapiro fan? He has a vested interest in hoarding his money. He's rich, after all. Wouldn't want those filthy poors to have things like affordable medicine.

@alvinsoehendrywijaya Except that creates a gap. And it's unsustainable. The wealthy don't need to spend anything on government services, so they'd not spend anything, and become wealthier (which means they have even less reason to pay.) The opposite is true of poor people. They need help the most, but because of the fact that they need help, they are the least able to pay into the system. Immediately, people would die from lack of medication like insulin and/or epinephrin. Not a good plan.

@nal8503 Foresight?! You absolute buffoon. Buffet himself has said that the market is nearly impossible to predict without very specific information withheld from the public (which no longer puts you on equal footing— you can't argue that anyone could have done what you did). There are too many active agents in the market such that, when any advantage is discovered, it is immediately milked dry and rendered useless (for instance, the rise of Bitcoin. Once people started realizing how much money could be made by it, they started a buying frenzy, raising its price and paradoxically making it harder to profit off of). I hesitate to think you actually play the market, or that you humbly started with penny stocks and "worked your way up with grit, gumption, and conservative values!" Are you a trust fund baby?
