It's not worth the dead people it creates. Plenty of other ways (and firearms) to have fun with, I prefer bolt action rifles. We just need people to respect guns as tools and not toys. But too many dumb fucks see it as a part of their national identity so teaching your kid how to shoot is fun instead of strict and educational, that's how mistakes happen

Alexander Hold on just a second. I claimed that the caliber round used in the (widely available in the US) sniper rifle would cause people to die. You couldn't defend against that, so you moved the argument to 'used here in the US.' I never claimed that, stop moving the goalposts. The fact that it's easy to buy here in the US will make it easier for the guns to find their way to the cartels, pictured in the video, for use on Mexicans. As they already have been. If you're going to speak with someone, learn to read and use your own language properly, Yank.

Alexander Again, you're moving the goalposts. And that fact doesn't really help your argument- if an American company is manufacturing and selling these arms, then which country do we hold accountable to restrict its sale (since smaller countries don't have the resources to defend against lobbying or influence campaigns put on by companies) ? Consider, knowing what you just said, where the Guatemalans and El Salvadorians get many of their guns from. It all comes back to the largest source and profiteer: the United States. They need to to curb, and discourage other countries' companies from (yes Russia is guilty too), the sale of arms.

@matthalstead7933 No, if the person selling you the gun isn't an FFL then you, technically, legally don't need to fill out a 4473 form. And frankly, if you think that pointing out how it's illegal will somehow solve the problem, then I have some news for you. If you accept that rules will always be broken and refuse to have any gun control because "it just doesn't work" then your neighborhood will become like the South Side of Chicago very quick. Teach people how to use guns properly and mandate that they keep them under lock. Or let everyone be paranoid about who's gonna shoot who, since gun laws "obviously" don't work so why have any laws??
