@JakeBroe The "March of Ukrainian Nationalists" (the song that you had a soldier play on a recorder on one of your videos a few weeks back) actually concludes with a call to create a "united Ukrainian state, free and strong from the San to the Caucasus". I often thought of that line myself, especially when Russia was plotting to use a Black Sea naval blockade to cause a famine in the Middle East (presumably as a means to flood Europe with starving Arab refugees).

@CMY187 Just as we dumped the Russian spellings Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov for the native Kyiv, Lviv and Kharkiv, maybe we should also start referring to Qazaqstan instead of Kazakhstan?

@phild3936 Very much so: it's been dubbed "победобесие" ("victory frenzy"). As a Brit I'd argue we have a milder version of the same disease here, and it was one of the factors behind Brexit. And given the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact the Russian certainly have a nerve to accuse Ukraine of being an inherently Nazi nation, especially when Hitler double-crossed Bandera just a couple of weeks after double-crossing Stalin!

Is it not more likely that China would lean on a weakened Russia to let them establish bases for the PLAN in the Kuril Islands, thus circumventing the "first island chain" (Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines) that currently keeps the PLAN bottled-up? Actually invading outer Manchuria, likely wouldn't help, as I expect that if Vladivostok ever did fall to the Chinese, the US President would then call Japan and basically say "Karafuto and Chishima*? They're all yours for the taking!" * Japanese for "Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands"
