NATO ships in general tend to be designed to be able to spend a long time at sea performing various international missions. And their weapons are mainly geared towards anti-air in order to protect carriers. This is because the surface threats they actually tend to face are pirates who are better handled with a spec ops team than a missile. They aren't built for surface fights against Russia because the Russian fleet is basically a non threat, the actual threat would be the PLAN. The only area in which NATO is seriously squaring off against Russia is the arctic and in that situation it's more about politics, that's why Danish ships are built to be basically self sustaining, so they can patrol in the arctic for months despite the limited port capabilities in Greenland. The situation is the same with Norway, both of these Scandinavian countries have built extremely large frigates that are able to stay deployed for months rather than carry a lot of weapons.
