  1. We only heat the kitchen and bathroom - this is where we sit and read and repair clothing. No health insurance ( the uS). Eggs were almost $9 a dozen so I guess that’s gone from the grocery list with milk. Rice, beans, lentils. Homemade soup and bread. We picked fruit around the neighborhood, made jams. We buy foods when we find 50% off deals.

  2. Christmas is handmade this year. It’s about food and necessities. Knitted hats and scarves and gloves.
