  4. I have seen this often. The parent saves money for the offspring , holds onto property, gives up chances to travel- then the kids sell it off asap.

  6. I did the same and was happy to do so. Now I’m helping a friend cope with caring for her aging mom while working and dealing with kids who had to move home. I made a plan with friends for my old age- the ice floe method. LSD, whisky and the cold of a northern winter.
