I just played 1776 against myself.

I grew up playing these games, Battle of the Bulge in 1972 when I was eleven years old. Played the giant War in The East where as the Russian player you had actually use your resources to produce units. also played the Pacific version. That being said, I always thought a one die roll was always BS, the probabilities are much more accurate with a two dice system like the game 1776 with plus and minus based on terrain, entrenchments and artillery. The problem right now, is Ukraine is running out personal and nothing can change that. Russia will not run out of personal. Russia will win this war, anybody who studies military history or even more so economic history knows this.

@EconLessons It's a crime that the computer age could not capture these board games. I only played a few windows 95 games back in the day. Lord of the Realm II was actually decent and they have a modern version but not on Apple so it sucks for me.

They were massed produced on the cheap - I just picked off Lawrence of Arabia on the Internet for about $10.
